Thank you for choosing to visit Bay Area Hand Surgery Associates. We look forward to serving you with compassion and cutting-edge expertise in the advanced specialty of hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder surgery and rehabilitation.
With more than 20 years of practice in hand surgery, Dr. Masem finds that effective medical care comes not only from evaluation and treatment of injury and disease, but from direct personal contact with his patients. When a patient feels their doctor genuinely cares, recovery from an injury or disease is accelerated.
Dr. Masem and his associates Dr. Lalchandani and Kelly Maris- Weissburg, RN, NP, are committed to providing patients with the latest advancements in the treatment of upper extremity injuries. To provide patients with the best operative and non-operative options available, our physicians participate in clinical studies, research and training in advanced technology techniques and procedures in hand and upper extremity surgery.
Both Dr. Masem and Dr. Lalchandani are Assistant Clinical Professors at UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Dr. Masem is a team physician for UCB and treats many of Cal's student athletes.
